47th ENKALON TROPHY & IFS DAVID WOOD TROPHY RACES
 
This weekend the Motorcycle Road Racing Club of Ireland are again graced with promoting the second round of the Ulster Superbike Championship. The traditional Easter Saturday Enkalon Trophy races now in its 47th year. Superbike riders will contest for the Enkalon Trophy and the IFS David Wood Trophy races for the Supersport class. Both events have two legs and the overall point scorer picking up the silverware and prize money.
Bumper entry list for the event of 150 + entries will make some fantastic racing in all classes.
Action at the Bishopscourt Racing Circuit will start at 9am for the scheduled ten practice sessions. Racing should commence approximately 11.30am and all races will count towards USBK championship, A 16-race program is on the cards.
It’s Hard to believe that we’re now into double figures running the annual IFS David Wood Motorcycle Trophy Races, again at Bishopscourt Racing Circuit.
The 2023 season hasn’t been as easy for the motorcycle racing fraternity, with the insurance problem. The MCRRCI club are grateful to all those who donated to the crowdfund appeal and those who helped in getting cover for this year. This year we are again promoting the second round of the Ulster Superbike Championship, although it also has been rocky start, we are look forward to a full season of racing.
Once again, we are truly grateful for having our loyal sponsors for this event which enables us to provide a prize fund and prizes for the competitors. We would like to personally thank all those people for their generosity and support over the last nine years. Most of whom have had a friendship with David or his Team Wood, providing him sponsorship, trade support. Thanks to those that have made the Team Wood Youth Academy possible. To our title

Headline runners in Enkalon superbikes are Jason Lynn, Korie McGreevy, Michael Sweeney, Emmet OGrady, Aaron Spence, Adam McClean, Mike Brown, Brian McCormack, Jonny Campbell, Gary McCoy. But anyone of the 26 Pro riders entered could take the overall prize.
IFS David Wood Pirelli Supersport event, Brian McCormack, Mike Brown, Adam McClean, Korie McGreevy, Luke Johnston, Jason Lynn, Gary McCoy, Andrew Smyth and Christian Elkin are all possible winners.
The two big trophy events are going to be hotly contested with £2600 prize money to be won.
All the other classes are very much well supported, Superbike & Supersport Cup, Supertwins & Production Twins, Moto-One for the New licenced holders, Supersport 300, Classics, Pre Injection.
