A Cloughey couple have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.
Francis Gallagher,from Cloughey, and Irene Gilmore, from Glastry, tied the knot at St Josephs Church, Ballycran on August 8, 1964.
The best men were Tom Gallagher and Terry Gilmore, bridesmaids were Greta Gilmore and Margaret Gallagher and the flower girl was Sharon Gilmore.
The wedding reception was held at the Mount Royal Hotel in Donaghadee. Francis and Irene Gallagher settled in Cloughey and spent their married life in the village.
Francis and Irene have two daughters – Gloria and Donna – and five grandchildren – Niall, Ashley, Declan, Jamie and Nicola. The couple are very family orientated and spend a lot of their time with their five great-grandchildren.
