A YOUNG Crusaders side came out on top when they welcomed Comber Rec to Seaview for a pre-season friendly last weekend.
Leading one-nil at the break, the Crues doubled their advantage early in the second half through Karter Boyd before the Rec’s Brett Conville halved the deficit after 56 minutes.
Jay Boyd responded immediately to make it 3-1 to the hosts and William Francey rounded off the scoring with four minutes to go.
Comber are next in action this Saturday (July 20) as they face Tandragree Rovers at Parkway in a 2pm kick-off.
