Two of Northern Ireland’s most trusted family names are set to make shopping accessible to customers across the region.
ONE of the most significant high street developments Northern Ireland has seen in years, two of the region’s most cherished family businesses are coming together. Connollys of Moy and Menarys have announced a major partnership designed to breathe new life into local town centres.
At a time when town centres face unprecedented challenges, this union represents far more than a retail expansion. It is a shared promise to keep local communities thriving.
“This is a massive moment for Northern Ireland’s high streets. For generations, both Connollys of Moy and Menarys have been built on trust and care. Bringing our Sleep Studio and mobility solutions into Menarys stores will support town centres and making sure essential care is accessible right at the heart of our local communities.” Vivion Connolly, Managing Director of Connollys of Moy.
This new partnership will bring Connollys of Moy’s renowned Sleep Studio and specialist mobility solutions directly inside Menarys department stores. For many older residents, people with limited mobility or those living outside major hubs, travelling long journeys to find specialised seating can be very difficult. Bringing vital resources straight to local high streets means these people can find face-to-face support right on their doorstep.
“We are delighted to be partnering with Vivion and the Connollys of Moy team. This is a great opportunity for us to widen our product range to include a leading bed offer, and to do so with such a trusted and respected brand. Like Menarys, Connollys share our pursuit of offering our customers a high quality and exceptional value product. We look forward to these 3 department openings and very much hope to be offering this product range in many locations in the near future.” Stephen McCammon, Managing Director for Menarys
For Connollys of Moy, the move marks a historic new chapter to bring its long legacy of experience into the heart of local towns. For Menarys, it reinforces their deep-rooted role as a vital anchor for local communities across the region.
The transformation begins across three initial hubs: Bangor, Newtownards and Banbridge. To mark this proud milestone for Northern Ireland’s high street, everyone in the community and with local media is warmly invited to join the Official Launch:
Bangor – Saturday 5th September, 12pm with Local TV Personality, Pamela Ballantine
Newtownards – Wednesday 9th September, 10am with Olympic Gold Medallist, Lady Mary Peters
