DUNDONALD couple Carol and Edgar Dunlop have marked their 60th wedding anniversary with a celebration at home in the company of some of their friends and family.
Carol, who turns 80 on Christmas Day, was just 19 and Edgar was 23 when they married at Stormont Presbyterian Church on December 7, 1963.
The couple grew up living close to each other – Hazel at Stormont and Edgar in Dundonald.
Carol worked at Gallaghers factory until their marriage while Edgar pursued a career in the Northern Bank.
Together they raised two daughters, Hazel and Heather, who have given them four grandchildren; they now also have two great grandsons.
