Double triumph for Regent girls teams
Regent House’s Year 8 Girls tennis team which won the Minor Shield Schools competition by beating Larne GS in the final 6-0. The team consisted of Darcy Andrews, Sara Devany, Rachel Sutherland and Aimee Parks.
Regent House Girls Year 8 athletics team brought home Gold at the recent Ulster Team Athletics Championships. From left are Katie Johnston, Lara Greene, Sara Devany and Erin Coard. Sara Devany jumped to Gold in the long jump with a new personal best and school record of 4.63 and finished 2nd in the 100m final with a time of 13.6 seconds. Lara Greene came 2nd in the high jump with a new personal best of 1.42, which equals the Year 8 girls school record. Erin Coard was 7th in the shot with a best throw of 6.72 and Katie Johnston came 6th in the 800m in a time of 2.51.4. The girls won the 4x100m in a time of 55.5.
