AFTER achieving her aim of having ‘hair like Rapunzel’, a young Newtownards girl has given up her locks and donated them to the Little Princess Trust.

Eleven year-old Eva Coffey, granddaughter of well-known Newtownards couple, Dessie and Daphne, has helped her grandparents in their latest venture, by raising funds for the charity which provides real-hair wigs for children suffering from hair loss due to cancer and conditions such as alopecia.

Having grown her hair in the style of the fairy-tale character, Eva recently had her long tresses cut, donating her hair to the charity for which so far her grandparents and family have raised £840.
