ARDS Hospital nurse Helen Herron is celebrating an extraordinary 41 years of service with the South Eastern Trust, marking a career defined by compassion, commitment and care.
Helen began nursing in 1984 and has since worked across multiple departments throughout the Trust, bringing her steady professionalism and warm approach to every post.
For the past 13 years, she has been a cornerstone of the outpatients department at Ards Hospital, where her experience continues to benefit patients and colleagues.
Reflecting on her four decades of service, Helen said: “I have loved working with many teams over the years and especially with my colleagues here in the outpatients department. I have loved working with patients, providing hands-on care and being part of a multi-disciplinary team.
”Outpatients Sister Sharon Amanda Moore praised Helen’s unwavering dedication.“Helen is a great asset to the outpatients department and can cover any of the clinics,” she said.“She has an absolute wealth of experience and knowledge behind her. The student nurses love her and she is a wonderful mentor to all the students here in outpatients.”
