Minibikes season comes to an end

THE final round of the Irish Minibike Championship took place at the Nutts Corner race circuit on Saturday.

Sean Hennessy was overall winner of the TAG Racing Irl Senior Stock Group 2 event with Dylan Wherity in second and Andrew Hutton third.

Michael Gillan won the Sam Harson Memorial Vets 140 race from Colin Moore and Josh Rae. The Road Racing Ireland Junior Gearbox class victory went to Cody Brennan from Jake Todd and Thomas Navan.

Sean O’Neil won the Athboy Karting Open race from Noah Holmes and Oisin Watson and in the Dualways Bam Bam race, Louis Craig took the overall win from BSB star Glenn Irwin’s son Freddie Irwin and Harry Birch.

Lewis Mullan won the EICL Senior Stock Group 1 race from Luke Johnston and Michael Gillan and Buster Sherman Boyd won the Neil Robinson Memorial Junior Mini GP event from Dale Hyland and Ben Finnerty.

Boyd also won the Jim Farlow Memorial Junior Elite two stroke race from Riley Brown. The four stroke class of this race was won by Sean O’Donavan from Zak Turkington and Bailey Moore.

The Mini Bikes will have a final non-championship outing at Kirkistown on Saturday, November 1st.
