Following an interview process, Licence coach Bobby Murphy was appointed Ards FC Academy’s Director of Coaching. The former Comber Rec and Saintfield United manager is an experienced and well known figure in Ards area sporting circles. He has also worked with schools and various youth clubs. Murphy said: “I am an Ardsman at heart and I believe I have one more project in me. I’m looking forward to working with all the coaches to deliver a quality coaching and learning experience for all the academy players.” Academy Chairperson Helen Munn said: “We are very excited about the appointment as Bobby ticked all of our boxes and we feel he will be a perfect fit in the months ahead as we follow our own five-year development plan and continue to support Ards Football Club on their journey home.”
