OBE awarded to local woman

Joy Scott receives her OBE from the Prince of Wales.

 

A LOCAL woman has been awarded the OBE at a ceremony in Windsor Castle.

Joy Scott, from Dundonald, received the honour from the Prince of Wales in recognition of her service to social housing in Northern Ireland.

She was a board member of Clanmil Housing Association from November 2011 to June 2021 and assumed the role of Chair in June 2019. Her term covered the Covid 19 pandemic.

She also served on one of the Clanmil Group subsidiary companies after retirement from the main board until June 2024.
