Pickleball continues to flourish locally

Members of the Ards Pickleball Club had a very busy December programme.

LOCAL pickleball enthusiasts have helped to raise £700 for charity as part of a recent tournament.

The sport has grown significantly across the local area over the last number of years and earlier this month, the Holywood club – which is set to launch in January – hosted a women’s tournament for beginners in aid of Northern Ireland Chest Heart and Stroke, with £700 raised for the great cause.

Ards Pickleball Club continues to operate four weekly sessions at the Blair Mayne Leisure Complex and the sport is also played regularly at Comber Leisure Centre and Portaferry Sports Centre.
