YOUNG midfielder Ethan Simpson has sealed a season-long loan switch to Ards.
The 19 year-old has featured heavily for John Bailie’s side in pre-season and earlier this week his arrival was rubber stamped, joining from Premiership champions Larne for the 2024/25 season.
Simpson, who has been on the books at the Inver Park club for the last three seasons, spent the first half of the 2023/24 campaign on loan to Ballyclare Comrades but after sustaining an injury he found regular minutes hard to come by.
That is something the former County Antrim SuperCupNI player will hope to put right this season as he looks to nail down a place in the Ards side. Simpson showed supporters a glimpse of what he can do with a tidy run and finish during last weekend’s friendly win over Knockbreda.
