THERE was a new person sitting in Jim Shannon’s seat in the House of Commons last week.
Ola Przybylek is the Strangford representative for the Youth Parliament who took part in a debate in the Commons as part of Youth Parliament Week.
During her visit she met with Mr Shannon and also the Speaker of the House of Commons, Sir Lindsay Hoyle.
Mr Shannon paid tribute to Ola and her ‘passion for key issues, such as housing and the environment.
“It is so important we do what we can to get young people involved in politics and the issues that matter today,” said Mr Shannon.
“Ola has an incredibly bright future ahead of her and I wish her all the very best in her endeavours,” he added
