Minister visits but ferry users angry over information blackout

THE complete shut down of the Strangford ferry service later this month is necessary because of the nature of the refurbishment work, according to Infrastructure Minister John O’Dowd.
However, people who use the ferry service on a regular basis have again criticised the Department (DfI) for not providing any updates on what will replace the service with less than two weeks to go until the ferries stop running.
