TWO of Phoenix Netball Club’s youth teams enjoyed an exciting climax to the league season.
The Under 16 ‘Green’ side ended an outstanding league campaign with just one defeat as they finished four points clear at the top of Netball NI’s Under 16 D League.
Meanwhile, the Newtownards club’s Under 16 ‘Blue’ team played a key role in the title race. In the final match of the season, they produced a brilliant performance to defeat Holywood, who were sitting joint top with Phoenix Green at the time, helping their clubmates become champions.
Both teams now move on to their Shield and Plate campaigns.
