YOUNG members of Ballywalter Flute Band had a number of successes at the annual Flute Band Association Solo and Small Ensemble competitions, held at Strean Presbyterian, Newtownards.
In the under 10 concert solo, Evie Bell was first, Myla Boston gained second place, and Sophie Cairnduff was third.
Evie gained second place in both the under 13 concert solo, and was part of the under 16 quartet, which also included Isla Bailie, Cameron McKay and Sophie Cairnduff, who were first in the under 16 quartet category.
Cameron gained first place in the drum kit solo, while Amelia Robson and Isla Bailie were first in the under 21 duet.
Congratulating the young musicians, a band spokesman said: “The future of the band looks very bright with this young talent in its ranks.”
