Young stars Webster and Parker shine for North Down

Isaac Webster and Josh Parker shared a 208-run partnership as North Down thirds beat Lisburn.

NORTH Down thirds cruised to a convincing, 10- wicket win at home to Lisburn courtesy of a 209-run partnership between Isaac Webster (86) and Josh Parker (100 not out) on Saturday.

Lisburn totalled 208 on a day when wickets were hard to come by, only losing four in the first innings.

Parker was the pick of the bowling as well as the batting, taking two wickets for 49 in his six overs, supported by Fraser Mitchell (1) and Adam Gardener (1).

Dan Johnstone also bowled a good opening spell, conceding just 18 runs in six overs, and while 208 looked a tough score for North Down to chase, the young opening pairing
had other ideas.
